Freepik or Higgsfield: Which Should an Agency Choose?
Freepik (Magnific) suits agencies handling multiple clients and formats. Higgsfield suits you if cinematic video dominates. A comparison, with Miravela.
For an agency producing images and videos for several brands, Freepik, now rebranded as Magnific, is the most versatile choice. It brings together many models, a stock library, shared workspaces and a Business plan billed per seat. Higgsfield is worth it if most of your output is short, cinematic video, with recurring characters and precise camera control. In both cases, the thing to watch is the real cost in credits, not the advertised price of the plan.
What Freepik and Higgsfield Really Are in 2026
Freepik is now called Magnific. It's the same team, rebuilt as an AI creative platform: images, video, audio and 3D, collaboration in Spaces, and a stock library of more than 250 million assets. The rebrand took place on April 28, 2026. The old freepik.com URLs redirect to the new one. For an agency, the appeal comes down to three things: Spaces, an infinite canvas where you plug in versions and work as a team; complex workflows saved as an "App" that the next colleague can rerun in one click; and stock in the same account. For sources, see the Magnific homepage and the Spaces overview.
Higgsfield is a suite focused on cinematic video and images. It gives access to more than 30 leading models through a single credit balance. What sets it apart is its own tools. Cinema Studio is a dedicated environment with an "AI Director" feature and shot-by-shot camera and style control. Marketing Studio, powered by Seedance 2.0, generates ads from a product URL. Soul ID trains a consistent face from at least 5 photos. See the features described by Higgsfield and the Soul ID guide.

Freepik / Magnific: Strengths and Limits for an Agency
Its strength is aggregation. One independent test sums it up this way: it's a solid space for testing models and image-to-video, but not necessarily the cheapest place to generate at scale. The Business plan is aimed at teams of 2 to 100 people, billed per seat, with a shared credit pool. It also adds basic legal indemnification, a useful point when you deliver to a brand. Individual plans include a commercial license, but that is not equivalent to protection against a third-party claim (plan details).
The limits mostly come down to the credit budget. "Unlimited" covers only about ten image models; video and high-end image models still consume credits. With a team of 4, the Business pool works out to roughly 270,000 credits per person per year, less than the individual Premium plan (eesel analysis). If you do a lot of video, run the numbers before signing.

Higgsfield: Strengths and Limits for an Agency
Higgsfield is the best choice if your client wants film shots, precise camera movements or a character who returns from one clip to the next. Its limits are well known. Every regenerated take consumes the full credit cost: a shot that takes four attempts costs four times its listed price. Unused credits aren't carried over. Credit packs expire after 90 days. "Unlimited" applies to specific models, for a limited period, and only on higgsfield.ai. Another point: the trained identity can't be exported as a file outside Higgsfield. Finally, plan names and prices changed several times in 2026: an October comparison notes that the names Basic, Pro and Max replaced Starter, Plus and Ultra on the public page. Check the official pricing page on the day you buy.
Where Miravela Stands, and What Its Data Shows
Miravela isn't trying to win on the number of models, but on the agency workflow. You paste in an email, a voice note or a deck. The agent produces a structured brief, proposes concepts and writes the prompts. The brand kit is applied automatically. The client approves in a private portal, and every deliverable is copied to your Google Drive. Details are on the agencies page and the comparison with Higgsfield.
Pricing is in euros: Studio at €199/month, Signature at €490/month, Enterprise at €1,790/month (excluding VAT), with prepaid packs that don't expire as long as the subscription is active (pricing). Miravela has been in beta since September 2026: the ecosystem is younger than Magnific's, and there is no stock library or audio or 3D tools.
Miravela platform data (internal database, last 90 days, aggregated): out of 8,544 generations launched, 7,307 were images and 1,237 were videos. GPT Image 2 shows a median time of 95 s with 95.9% of generations completed successfully. Seedance 2.0 shows 312 s with 88.6%. For an agency, this means two things: an image is delivered in anywhere from a few dozen seconds to under two minutes, while a video shot takes several minutes and fails more often. So plan a budget for video retries, whichever tool you use.
If your need is mostly cinematic, with Cinema Studio, Soul ID and camera presets, Higgsfield is better equipped. If you need stock, audio, 3D and a free-form canvas, Magnific is more complete. Miravela makes sense when back-and-forth with the client, managing multiple brands and traceability matter more than the depth of a creation tool.
How to Choose: The Checklist
- How much video? Beyond a few clips a week, estimate the cost per successful clip, not per generation.
- How many brands and people? Multiple clients and multiple roles call for separate folders, credit caps and restricted access.
- Who approves? If the client needs to comment and sign off, check where their feedback lands.
- What legal guarantees? Compare commercial license, indemnification and prompt history retention.
- What expiration risk? Check what happens to unused credits each month.
- Which specific model? If a single model is enough, compare with the provider's direct subscription.
One last piece of advice: run a trial on ten real client tasks, count the accepted deliverables, then divide the monthly cost by that number. It's the only measure that's comparable across these three tools.
Questions
- Are Freepik and Magnific the same thing?
- Yes. Freepik became Magnific in April 2026. The team, accounts, subscriptions and credits are all kept, and the old URLs redirect to magnific.com.
- Does Higgsfield really offer unlimited access?
- Only in a restricted way. "Unlimited" access applies to specific models, often during a seven-day window, and only on higgsfield.ai. Other generations, including via MCP or CLI, consume credits.
- Which tool is cheapest for an agency that mostly does images?
- For images, Freepik / Magnific is generally better value, since some image models are unlimited on the higher-tier plans. As soon as video increases, the cost depends on the credits consumed per successful clip. Compare using a sample of your own projects.
