Midjourney alternatives for agencies with team seats and licensing
Midjourney has no team plan. Compare Adobe Firefly, Magnific, Leonardo and Miravela on seats, commercial rights and IP indemnification for agencies.
Midjourney's terms allow one person per subscription, and there is no team plan: each member subscribes individually. If you need shared seats, admin controls and a contract you can show a client's legal team, the realistic options are Adobe Firefly for Enterprise (the clearest contractual IP indemnity), Magnific (formerly Freepik) Business, Leonardo's Team plans, or Miravela if you also want brief intake and client approval in the same tool. Which one fits depends on whether your bottleneck is legal cover, seat management or the client review loop.
What Midjourney does and does not give an agency
Midjourney's commercial terms are simple on paper. A business grossing more than $1,000,000 a year needs a Pro or Mega plan to use images commercially. Private generation (Stealth mode) is only on Pro and Mega. That matters for agencies, because images made below Pro are public in the community feed unless you opt out per image.
The gaps are around the team. Team or per-seat pricing is not published (checked October 2026). There is also no shared client review, no per-member credit cap and no brand kit layer. Agencies end up with several accounts and files moving through email and chat. If aesthetics are the only criterion, Midjourney is still a strong choice. The alternatives below are for when the team and the contract are the problem.

Comparison: team seats and commercial licensing
| Tool | Team structure | Commercial rights and indemnity | Pricing model |
|---|---|---|---|
| Midjourney | No team plan; one subscription per person | Commercial use on paid plans; Pro or Mega above $1M revenue | GPU time, $10 to $120 a month |
| Adobe Firefly | Team plans add administration; credits are not pooled | Enterprise entitlement with contractual IP indemnification for select outputs | Generative credits; enterprise quoted |
| Leonardo | Team plans, 3-seat minimum | Paid subscribers own the images they generate | $24 or $48 per seat per month |
| Magnific Business | Shared credit pool, Spaces, admin controls, from 2 seats | Commercial AI license plus basic legal indemnification | Credits, annual billing |
| Miravela | Per-brand folders, roles and credit caps per member | See the note on licensing below | Credits in euros, from €199/month |
Competitor prices are as published in US dollars by the sources linked; confirm them on each vendor's page before you buy.
Adobe Firefly: strongest on legal cover
If a client's legal team will ask who stands behind the output, Adobe is the most documented answer. Enterprise customers can buy an entitlement with contractual IP indemnification for select Firefly outputs. The cover has limits. Adobe's product description excludes features powered by non-Adobe-trained models and anything marked beta or trial. Adobe also lets enterprises train Firefly Custom Models on their own assets.
The trade-offs are seats and models. Adobe's credits FAQ says credits are not pooled across users in team plans. Firefly is also less of an aesthetic match for Midjourney's look. For agencies that must show contractual protection, it is often the better choice than Miravela, Leonardo or Midjourney.

Magnific (formerly Freepik): team canvas and stock
The Magnific Business plan targets small to mid-size teams, with shared AI credits, collaborative Spaces and centralised administration. It includes a commercial AI license and basic legal indemnification, subject to the plan's terms. Basic SSO is included. If your work mixes AI with licensed stock (icons, vectors, templates), this is a sensible fit. Its review loop happens on a shared canvas, not in a client-facing portal.
Leonardo: shared tokens, lowest seat price
Team tokens go into one shared pool, so one heavy user does not hit a personal ceiling while colleagues' balances sit unused. Team Management lets you add members by email and assign roles for viewing, creating, editing and managing. The flip side: one heavy video user can drain everyone's month. Leonardo suits in-house teams and small agencies that value image-model control and cost per seat. It does not document an IP indemnity on the pages I checked.
Where Miravela fits
Miravela is an AI image and video production platform for brand teams and agencies, built in Paris by the team behind the studio Mira Studio. It has been in beta since September 2026. It is organised around the job, not the prompt box: you paste a brief (an email, a voice note, a deck), the built-in agent structures it and proposes concepts, and Miravela picks among 12 image and video models for each job. Brand kits are applied automatically.
For agencies, the team features are the point. Midjourney buyers typically budget per user, whereas on Miravela you run one folder per brand, with roles and credit caps per member. Clients get a private portal to review, comment and approve, and comments come back inside the platform. Every deliverable is copied to your own Google Drive. See Miravela for agencies for the workflow.
Miravela platform data (its own database, last 90 days, aggregated) shows what generation looks like in practice. Of 8,544 generations started, 7,307 were images and 1,237 were videos. GPT Image 2 ran 3,074 times with a 95.9% completion rate and a median time of 95 seconds. Nano Banana 2 had a median of 26 seconds (89.5% completed). Kling 3.0 had a median of 197 seconds, and Seedance 2.5 a median of 456 seconds. For a team, this means stills come back in under two minutes at the median, while video is a batch job you should schedule and not wait on. Credit caps per member also stop one person's video queue from using the whole budget.
Pricing is in credits, in euros, with no per-model surcharge: Studio €199/month, Signature €490/month and Enterprise €1,790/month, excluding VAT. Prepaid packs don't expire while the subscription runs.
On licensing, be careful. Miravela's models run at their providers (Google, OpenAI, ByteDance and others), and only the data and the platform are hosted in the EU (Paris). Miravela does not train models on client content, and the prompt history of every visual is kept and exportable. That helps you document creative input. I have no published statement of a contractual IP indemnity from Miravela. If you need one, get the commercial terms in writing first, and consider Adobe Enterprise.
How to choose
- You need a contractual indemnity for client campaigns: shortlist Adobe Firefly for Enterprise, then Magnific Business. Read the eligible-feature list, not the marketing page.
- You want the cheapest shared seats for image work: Leonardo Team, three-seat minimum. Watch the shared token pool.
- You mix AI with licensed stock: Magnific.
- Your pain is briefs, client review and delivery, with several brands: Miravela. Check the licensing terms with the team.
- You need only the Midjourney look, with one or two senior creatives: stay on Midjourney Pro and keep the $1M-revenue rule in mind.
- Always test: run the same real brief through two tools and count the finished assets per credit, not the headline price.
Questions
- Does Midjourney have a team plan for agencies?
- Not according to the third-party reviews I checked: each member needs an individual subscription, and Midjourney's team pricing is not published as of October 2026. Companies grossing over $1M a year need Pro or Mega for commercial use.
- Which Midjourney alternative offers IP indemnification?
- Adobe Firefly offers contractual IP indemnification to eligible enterprise customers, for listed Firefly features and not for beta features or non-Adobe-trained models. Magnific Business also includes basic legal indemnification. Check the exact scope in your contract.
- Is Miravela a replacement for Midjourney?
- Miravela is not a Midjourney clone. It is a production platform that runs 12 image and video models from other providers, with briefs, brand kits, client portals and per-member credit caps. It is in beta, and agencies should confirm its commercial and licensing terms in writing.
