Miravela vs Freepik (Magnific): Which Is Better for Brand Campaigns?

Miravela suits brand and agency campaigns with client approval; Magnific (ex-Freepik) suits solo creators who want models, stock and upscaling at a low entry price.

For a brand team or agency that has to brief, produce, get client approval and deliver a campaign, Miravela is the better fit. It is built around that chain: brief, brand kit, generation, client portal, delivery. Freepik is now called Magnific: Freepik rebranded to Magnific on April 28, 2026. It is the better choice for an individual creator or small team that wants many models, a stock library and upscaling under one low-cost subscription. Miravela has been in beta since September 2026, which matters if you need a long track record.

What each tool is

Miravela is an AI image and video production platform for brands and agencies, made in Paris by the team behind the creative studio Mira Studio. It starts from the brief. You paste an email, a voice note or a deck, and the built-in agent structures the brief, proposes concepts and writes the prompts. It then picks one of 12 image and video models for each job. Your brand kit is applied automatically.

Magnific is a broader creative suite. It lets you generate and edit images, video, audio and 3D, collaborate in Spaces, and use a 250M+ stock library. It offers more than 30 models from Google, OpenAI, ByteDance, xAI, Alibaba, Runway and others. Its upscaler has a longer history. Freepik bought Magnific in May 2024, and Creative mode adds texture and detail while Precision mode enlarges more faithfully for photos and products.

Brand consistency and model choice

Brand campaigns fail on consistency more than on single images. Miravela applies the brand kit (logos, colours, references, rules) to every generation, and custom agents arrive from the Signature plan. It chooses the model for you per job and runs it at the model's maximum quality on every plan.

Magnific also targets brand work. Its pricing page says art direction is built in and images follow your brand, on all paid plans. Its Spaces canvas lets you save a complex on-brand workflow as an App that the next person runs in one click. That suits teams with a technical creative lead who like building and reusing node workflows. The trade-off is that you manage the models and the workflow yourself; Miravela's agent makes those choices for you.

Client approval and delivery

This is the clearest difference. In an agency, a campaign is not finished when the image exists. A marketing lead or client has to review, comment and approve. Miravela gives each client a private portal. Comments come back inside the platform rather than in email threads. Every deliverable is copied automatically to the subscriber's Google Drive.

Magnific supports teamwork well. Spaces offers real-time collaboration, and the Business plan covers teams of 2 to 100 seats. But the sources I found describe collaboration between team members, not an outward-facing approval portal for a client. If your clients review in a shared canvas link or an external tool, this gap may not matter to you.

Models, speed and what the data says

Miravela platform data (last 90 days, aggregated): 8,544 generations were started, 7,307 of them images and 1,237 videos. GPT Image 2 was the most used model, with 3,074 generations, a 95.9% completion rate and a median time of 95 seconds. Nano Banana 2 had a median of 26 seconds. Seedance 2.0 video took a median of 312 seconds.

For a campaign team, this means image rounds run in seconds to a couple of minutes, while video comes back in several minutes. Plan review rounds around that. Batch your video briefs early, and use fast image models for concept exploration before you commit to a slower model. The same logic applies on any platform, Magnific included, because the models run at their providers.

Cost and credits

Magnific's individual plans are much cheaper to enter. The ladder runs Free, Essential, Premium, Premium+, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Prices are shown excluding VAT and local taxes, and the currency varies by market, so check your own checkout. Two details to understand before you budget:

  • Annual plans list credits as valid for one year with no monthly resets; on monthly plans, unused credits do not carry over.
  • Unlimited generations only cover selected models, and credits were reintroduced for premium models just before the April 2026 rebrand. Video is where credits drain fastest.

Miravela costs more at entry. Studio is €199 per month, Signature €490 and Enterprise €1,790, all excluding VAT. Monthly credits are included, with prepaid packs that don't expire while the subscription runs. There is no per-model surcharge. See the pricing page for details. The higher price pays for the production layer (client portals, per-brand folders, credit caps, Drive delivery), not for more raw generation.

Where Magnific is the better choice

  • You work alone or in a small team and don't need a client approval workflow.
  • You want stock assets, audio, 3D and upscaling in the same account. Miravela offers none of the stock, audio or 3D.
  • You want Magnific's upscaler, or API and MCP access to feed your own tools.
  • Your budget is a few tens per month, not a few hundred euros.
  • You prefer to build node-based workflows yourself.

Where Miravela is the better choice

  • You produce for several clients or brands and need separation, roles and spending caps per member.
  • Clients must approve visuals in a controlled place.
  • You must show how a visual was made. Miravela keeps an exportable prompt history for every visual, never trains models on client content, and hosts data in the EU (Paris). The models themselves run at their providers (Google, OpenAI, ByteDance and others), not in Europe.
  • You start from emails and decks rather than a blank prompt.

How to choose

  1. List who approves your visuals. If it is a client outside your team, favour a portal-based tool.
  2. Count brands and members. Several brands with spending limits point to Miravela; one account points to Magnific.
  3. Estimate your video share. Check how many credits one video costs on each platform's own pricing page.
  4. Decide whether you need stock, audio or 3D in the same account.
  5. Check your legal paper trail. Ask each vendor what proof of creative input and what indemnification they offer. Magnific lists basic legal indemnification on Business and enterprise-level indemnification on Enterprise.
  6. Run the same brief on both for a week and compare delivered, approved assets, not generations.

Questions

Is Freepik the same thing as Magnific?
Yes, since April 28, 2026. Freepik rebranded its whole platform, including stock library, AI tools and the upscaler it acquired in 2024, under the Magnific name. Existing accounts carried over.
Which is better for an agency running campaigns for several brands?
Miravela is built for that case, with one folder per brand, roles and credit caps per member, private client portals and Google Drive delivery. Magnific offers shared team credits and collaborative Spaces, which suit internal teams better than client-facing review.
Is Magnific cheaper than Miravela?
At entry level, yes. Magnific's individual plans cost much less than Miravela's Studio plan at €199 per month excluding VAT. Total cost depends on your video volume and on whether you need client approval and delivery features, so price a real brief on both.
